The museum was established to commemorate Dr. Kuo Sie-Hien, an outstanding female figure in both medicine and politics, for her contributions towards Chiayi City. Her artifacts are displayed here to memorialize her manner and deeds, passing on the Chiayi spirit of being a sacred location for democracy.
